Oxalic Acid 100%... is the real deal! It's a 100% super-concentrated powder so you can safely dilute it to suit your cleaning task. It is a much safer option than most other acids used in cleaning including Hydrochloric and Hydrofluoric Acid.
Where to use
Oxalic Acid 100% is used by many different industries for many different applications.
• Exterior timber deep cleaning and preparation.
• Commercial laundries. Rust and mineral deposit remover on fabric. Famous for its ability to remove sunscreen from towels!
• Building and construction cleaning. Mineral staining, grout, mortar removal from bricks, tiles, pavers and concrete.
• Professional carpet cleaning. Rust and mineral stain removal.
• Rust, scale and watermark removal from baths, basins, toilet bowls, urinals and other washroom surfaces.
• Hardwood stain removal on concrete and carpet.
• Waterlines, deposits and barnacles on boat hulls and marine applications.
• Leather cleaning and stain removal. Great on horse saddles!

Timber instructions
1. Test first.
2. Dilute 125-250g of Oxalic Acid into 5 litres of water. Some timber applications may require higher concentrations.
3. Apply to the surface with a broom, brush, scourer or doodlebug.
4. Scrub with a suitable brush or doodlebug scourer and let dwell on the surface for 5-10 minutes not allowing the surface to dry.
5. Remove and rinse thoroughly.
6. Repeat the process if required. Increase the amount of Oxalic Acid added to the water where necessary and start by testing first again.
Building & construction instructions
1. Test first.
2. Dilute 125-250g of Oxalic Acid into 5 litres of water.

4. Scrub with a suitable agitation method (ie. scourer, brush, machine, doodlebug) and let dwell on the surface for 5-10 minutes not allowing the surface to dry.

Laundry instructions
To remove rust, iron, mineral and sunscreen stains from laundry add 100-200g of Oxalic Acid to the hot pre-soak water. These quantities may be varied for different amounts of laundry to be soaked.
Oxalic Acid can be used on fabrics including cotton, poly-cotton, silk and wool. Oxalic Acid is recommended for specialty stain removal when laundering all types of linen including uniforms and towels.
Carpet stain removal instructions
1. Test on a small inconspicuous area first to ensure the suitability of this product.
2. Remove any debris or excess stain deposits.
3. Dilute 50g of Oxalic Acid into 2 litres of water. You can make a weaker solution for less severe staining.
4. Spray or pour onto the fibre or fabric until wetted out. Do not overwet. Agitate gently if required.
5. Allow to stand for at least 5 minutes and for more stubborn stains allow 10-20 minutes dwell time.
6. Pre-spray. Generously apply pre-spray. Do not allow to dry before extraction.
7. Rinse and extract with a portable carpet cleaning machine using a pre-spray detergent. Plush (carpet and upholstery rinse, softener & cleaner) should always be added to the solution tank water. If a machine is unavailable you can blot away with a damp clean white towel and then neutralise with Houdini stain remover. Blot away again with another damp white towel to remove all chemical and stain residue.
8. Allow to dry.
9. Repeat or adjust the process if necessary.
Handy tips
• Always test first in an inconspicuous area before using any cleaning solution. Play it safe, especially when you use a product for the first time. Better to be safe than sorry. Some surfaces can be sensitive to moisture and particular chemical types.
• Be aware that Oxalic Acid has the ability to dull or etch polished (shiny) natural stone surfaces.
• Some staining is permanent and can not be removed with a chemical. Replacement or restoration of surfaces may be required.
• Attend to spots and spills as soon as possible. Fresh spots are significantly easier to remove. Stains that are left too long can become permanent. Using the wrong product can also set the stain or permanently damage the surface or fibre.
• Do your stain removal work from the outside of larger stains to the inside. This prevents the stain from spreading.
