Specifications for Aussie Encappa - Carpet Encapsulation Cleaner Concentrate
Scrub me in. Job's done.
Aussie Encappa is an advanced low-moisture carpet encapsulation cleaning system concentrate. This cutting-edge technology delivers a powerful cleaning action that sorts out heavily soiled carpets in half the time, with little effort and super fast drying times.
Aussie Encappa’s high-performance surfactants, effectively emulsify oily soils allowing for them to be encapsulated and crystalised by the advanced polymer technology. The polymer dries quickly and becomes brittle so it can be easily removed from the fibres during routine vacuuming. The cool part of this amazing technology is that any polymer residues from the process do not attract dirt or soil which means your fibres stay cleaner for longer.
Where to use
Aussie Encappa is suitable for commercial and residential carpet and upholstery care where areas need to be cleaned and back in use with minimal downtime. It’s especially popular on low pile synthetic commercial carpets found in schools, offices, retail outlets, conference centres, medical centres, nursing homes, hospitals, homes, hotels, resorts and apartments.
Aussie Encappa can be used in the following ways…
1. With a counter-rotating brush scrubbing machine (eg Cimex) using brushes or fibre pads.
2. With a slow-speed scrubbing machine (eg Polivac), using a brush, bonnet or fibre pad.
3. With a cylindrical brush scrubber (eg Rotowash, Multiwash, Duplex.)
4. With a carpet extraction machine as a pre-spray.
5. For manual cleaning of stairs (via doodlebug).
6. For cleaning with an upholstery brush or carpet rake.
7. For spot cleaning especially on recurring stains and spills.

Carpet encapsulation cleaning
1. Dilute at 25:1 (25 parts water and 1 part Aussie Encappa). That's approximately 96% water and 4% Aussie Encappa (160ml of Aussie Encappa in 4 litres of water or 40ml per litre). For heavy-duty applications, dilute at 16:1 (16 parts water and 1 part Aussie Encappa).
2. Test on a small inconspicuous area first to ensure the suitability of this product.
3. Vacuum. Thoroughly dry vacuum the carpet with an upright vacuum cleaner or a vacuum fitted with a powerhead or turbo head to remove loose soil.
4. Pre-spray. Generously apply pre-spray. Do not allow to dry before cleaning. Also, pre-spray the bonnet or brush lightly. For deeper cleaning the bonnet can be fully immersed in the diluted solution and wrung out.
5. Buff and agitate. Use a slow-speed scrubber with a carpet brush or bonnet. A detergent tank on the scrubber for applying additional product is recommended but optional. Clean 20m²
at a time in both directions – north to south, flip bonnet or brush and then east to west.
6. Use a carpet rake if necessary to re-align carpet fibres and speed up drying.
7. Dry. Before the area is opened to traffic allow to dry.
8. Maintain. Leave for 1 day before vacuuming. The encapsulated dirt and soil will be removed with subsequent routine vacuuming.
Handy tips
• Always test first in an inconspicuous area before using any cleaning solution. Play it safe, especially when you use a product for the first time. Better to be safe than sorry. Some surfaces can be sensitive to moisture and particular chemical types.
• Use warm to hot water to boost your cleaning performance (especially on oil, fat and grease).
• Move slower across heavily soiled carpet areas.
• When diluting chemicals add the water first and the chemical last to prevent foaming, splashes and spills.
• For best results use freshly diluted cleaning solutions.
• Always extract rinse using Plush if you intend to apply a fabric protector to the cleaned carpet.
Can Aussie Encappa also be used for pre-spraying before the carpet extraction cleaning method?
Many people use Aussie Encappa in conjunction with their portable or truck-mounted carpet cleaning machine. If you would like to try this technique follow the ‘how To Use’ instructions for Aussie Encappa, then after your agitation step is complete use your wand and machine to flush clean the carpet with clean water. As always, we recommend you use Plush rinse in your clean water solution tank and Bubble Buster defoamer in your dirty water recovery tank. This method is also highly recommended if you are planning to apply a fabric protector to the carpet once it is clean.
How much coverage can I expect from Aussie Encappa?
Once mixed at a ratio of 25:1 (that’s 40ml per litre of water), each litre of ready-to-use solution will clean between 5-15 square metres depending on the carpet type, pile density and soiling. That means a 5L bottle of concentrate will cover about 625-1875 square metres.
