How it works?
Fats, oils, greases and other organic waste found in grease traps make for a breeding ground of bad microbial fermentation that generates bad odours and high BOD/COD levels. Grease trap systems also suffer from waste/sludge build-up in the drains, pipes and tank that not only contribute to bad smells, but also cause blockages.
Trap Mate is a super concentrate containing an advanced blend of naturally occurring bacteria, nutrients and enzymes
that digest these tough organic compounds into a watery liquid in a safe, eco-friendly and cost-effective manner. This new technology chemistry is very unique and is why Trap Mate outperforms standard bacteria/biological based grease trap products on the market.
Trap Mate wakes up on contact with water and will start to multiply like crazy within minutes. The proactive bacteria and enzymes will start to digest the fats, oils, greases, and other organic matter inside the drains and pipes as they make their way down to the grease trap. Once in the tank, they will continue to digest the fat, oil, grease and any build up of sludge and solids turning it into a watery liquid so it drains out of the trap overflow.

Shock Treatment (For bad smells and neglected grease traps): Put 250g of Trap Mate straight down the drain or sink leading to your grease trap followed by a 2 litres of water. Room temperature water is best straight from the tap, do not use hot water.
Monthly Top Up Dose: Put 40g of Trap Mate straight down the drain or sink leading to your grease trap followed by 1 litre of water. Room temperature water is best straight from the tap, do not use hot water. For optimum results you can split your monthly dose into 4 and do it weekly (10g/week). The majority of Trap Mate users have a thousand things to do in a day and will tend to opt for doing it once per month (40g) which is totally fine. Rotate through your drains when doing your treatment as you want it to work it's way through your entire system.
Newly installed systems: So you have a new system installed and are ready to put your waste down it. We recommend you start things off on the right foot by dosing it right up in its first month of use. 250g is recommended for this. You can do it all at once which is fine, but it is recommended to split it into weekly doses in this application. That is 60g per week. If you really want to take things to the max, you can break that down even furthur and dose it daily for a bit the majority of Trap Mate users have a thousand things to do in a day and will tend to opt for doing it all at once which is totally fine. Put it straight down the drain or sink leading to your grease trap followed by 2 litres of water. Room temperature water is best straight from the tap, do not use hot water.

• Put a recurring reminder in on your calender to remind yourself when you are due to do the monthly dose.
• Rotate through your drains when doing your treatment as you want it to work it's way through your entire system.
