Specifications for Clean, Grip & Shine - One Step Shiny Floor Cleaner & Maintainer
Floor, I could kiss you.
Clean, Grip & Shine is a 2-in-1 floor cleaner and polish top-up designed for shiny sealed floors. The single-step action cleans the floor and leaves behind a small amount of protective high-grade polish that enhances gloss, repairs scratches, improves grip, reduces scuffing and extends the time between floor finish recoats. On commercial floors, Clean, Grip & Shine is best used alternately with the regular neutral floor cleaner either every second day, twice a week or weekly depending on the wear and tear and traffic.
Clean, Grip & Shine is best used by mop and bucket or automatic scrubbing machine. Buffing with a polishing machine is optional for optimum results but not necessary. You can pop a shine with machines ranging from 400-3000rpm. Clean, Grip & Shine is also great for the old ‘spray buff' method too where you spray it on via a spray bottle and buff it in with your polishing machine.
Where to use
Clean, Grip & Shine is designed for use on surfaces sealed with water-based floor sealer coatings. It can also be utilised on unsealed floors to improve shine, slip and stain resistance. Suitable surfaces may include... vinyl, terrazzo, slate, plastic, rubber, granite, timber, epoxy, marble, sandstone, terracotta, concrete, tarkett and more.

Handy hints
• Clean, Grip & Shine is a maintenance product for regular use. It is not a single-use restoration product that replaces strip and sealing or cut back and sealing if that is what is required.
• Clean, Grip & Shine doesn’t prevent wear or surface damage.
• It is the responsibility of the applicator to educate themselves on surface suitability, surface types, application rates, application techniques, all environmental aspects, performance, value and all other issues relating to the completed job and the customer's specific expectations.
• Ensure all bottles of Clean, Grip & Shine are kept closed when not being used and store in a dry, cool (not cold) place.
• When manually filling bottles, buckets or tanks, add the water first and the chemical last to prevent foaming and splashes.
• Always test first in an inconspicuous area before using any cleaning solution. Play it safe, especially when you use a product for the first time. Better to be safe than sorry. Some surfaces can be sensitive to moisture and particular chemical types.
• For best results use freshly diluted cleaning solutions.
How often should you use Clean, Grip & Shine on a sealed floor?
In domestic situations, you should use Clean, Grip & Shine once per month and in commercial areas either every second day, twice a week or weekly depending on the amount of traffic and frequency of cleaning.
Can you use a slower speed buffing machine with Clean, Grip & Shine?
Yes, you can use a slower speed buffing machine (180-450rpm). It’s not as effective as the ultra high-speed machines and it does take a lot longer but you can still achieve great results. For these types of machines, work slower and use a more vigorous floor buffing pad to compensate for the slower speed.
Why won't my floors shine?
If your floor is looking dull and tired a floor rejuvenation (deep scrub and recoat) or floor restoration (strip and seal) may be required.
What about the 'Spray Buff' method?
Clean, Grip & Shine is a fantastic spray buff solution but this method in recent times has become less popular for a variety of safety and efficiency reasons...
• Requires one-handed use of polishing machines when two hands should always be used.
• Requires atomising of a combination polish which is not ideally safe to inhale.
• Requires spraying where droplets often land beyond the area being buffed leaving small marks on surfaces and unsightly residue on machinery/equipment.
• It's very slow and adds to labour costs
• Users often stop and start to spray and then buff and then spray reducing productivity.
• The latest floor maintainer technology does not have to be buffed for a successful result and can be applied in much more efficient ways.
