This super heavy-duty pre-spray concentrate is designed for professionals with portable and truckmount carpet cleaning machines. It works great in cold water but even better with hot water. Ducks Nuts is suitable on virtually all washable fibres when used correctly and meets the specifications for 5th generation stain-resistant carpet. It’s also safe for you, your pets and the environment. It has a super low VOC profile which means no nasty vapours, low toxicity and outstanding OH&S ratings.
Ducks Nut's innovative emulsifiers with buffered pH contain a combination of high-performance fibre-safe soil release agents and solvents that leave behind a fresh and sweet spice fragrance. The built-in soil suspension feature uses special polymer technology to suspend dirt and soil for easy rinsing. Its smart chemistry also breaks down and suspends clay and mineral soils which is great for jobs where red soils are present.

Carpet and upholstery cleaning (pre-spray)
1. Dilute at 75:1 (75 parts water and 1 part Ducks Nuts). That's approximately 98% water and 2% Ducks Nuts (55ml of Ducks Nuts in 4 litres of water or 15ml per litre). For heavy-duty applications, dilute at 40:1 (40 parts water and 1 part Ducks Nuts).
2. Test on a small inconspicuous area first to ensure the suitability of the product.
3. Vacuum. Thoroughly dry vacuum with an upright vacuum cleaner or a vacuum fitted with a powerhead or turbo head to remove loose soil.
4. Pre-spray. Generously apply pre-spray. Do not allow to dry before extraction.
5. Agitate (Optional). If necessary, machine or manually agitate areas with a soft brush or scourer.
6. Extract and Clean. Using a portable carpet cleaning machine, clean/extract the fibres using slightly overlapping strokes. Use Plush rinse in the solution tank for the ultimate result.
7. Use a carpet rake or brush if necessary to re-align fibres and speed up drying.
8. Dry. Before the area is opened to traffic allow to dry. Using a carpet dryer, air mover or just turning on an air conditioning system may also speed up the drying process.
Truckmount carpet cleaning
• For cleaning wool and stain-resistant carpets or where the pre-spray method is used: Set the flow meter at 2 to 4 gallons per hour.
• For heavy soil conditions using the single-step process: Set the flow meter at 4 to 8 gallons per hour.
Handy tips
• Always test first in an inconspicuous area before using any cleaning solution. Play it safe, especially when you use a product for the first time. Better to be safe than sorry. Some surfaces can be sensitive to moisture and particular chemical types.
• Use warm to hot water to boost your cleaning performance (especially on oil, fat and grease).
• When pre-spraying use Plush rinse in the clean water tank for increased fibre safety and faster drying.
• Use Bubble Buster defoamer in your dirty water tank if you experience foaming from existing chemical residues in the fibres.
• Move the wand slower across heavily soiled carpet areas.
• Go over the carpet a second time dry (without pulling your wand trigger), to extract additional water and achieve dryer carpets.
• When diluting chemicals add the water first and the chemical last to prevent foaming, splashes and spills.
• For best results use freshly diluted cleaning solutions.
• Always extract rinse using Plush if you intend to apply a fabric protector to the cleaned carpet.
How do I dilute Ducks Nuts if I'm using an inline sprayer?
For this example, we'll assume your inline sprayer has a 4.7L bottle fitted with an 8:1 dilution tip. For normal soiling, add 4.1L of water (85%), then add 600mL of Ducks Nuts (15%). For heavy soiling, add 3.7L of water (75%), then add 1L of Ducks Nuts (25%).
