Specifications for Fabulous - Fabric & Upholstery Cleaning Liquid
I've got a gentle touch.
Fabulous is a high-performance and gentle pre-spray cleaning solution for upholstery, fabric, rugs and delicate fibres. It delivers dye and fabric stability, residue-free results, fibre safety and lightning-fast cleaning action on body oils, sweat marks, food and drink stains and organic soils.
Fabulous gives you peace of mind. On upholstery, fine fabrics and rugs, Fabulous provides confidence and safety without the concern of causing expensive damage. Traditional upholstery cleaning solutions at times struggle to remove body oils and sweat marks, they often cause dyes to run and stains to rise from within, and they leave a slightly sticky residue that is unpleasant to touch, slow to dry and means fibres become dirty again faster. Fabulous solves these problems on normal and delicate fibres that are water cleanable including cotton, wool, silk, linen, stain-resistant nylon and all synthetic fibres.
Where to use
Fabulous is suitable for cleanable commercial and residential (plus automotive and marine) upholstery, fabric and rug care. It is especially popular on fibres that are traditionally difficult to clean and easy to damage. Fabulous also performs great on synthetic fibres and stain-resistant nylons.
Fabulous can be used in 3 different ways…
1. Pre-spray + Extraction. Prespray fibres prior to water extraction
2. Dry Clean (Low Moisture). Prespray fibres prior to bonnet cleaning.
3. Encapsulation Cleaning. Apply, agitate, allow to dry, then vacuum with a brush-operated vacuum cleaner.

Upholstery and rug cleaning (Pre-spray + extraction method)
1. Dilute at 16:1 (16 parts water and 1 part Fabulous). That's approximately 94% water and 6% Fabulous (240ml of Fabulous in 4 litres of water or 60ml per litre).
2. Test on a small inconspicuous area first to ensure the suitability of this product.
3. Vacuum. Thoroughly dry vacuum the fabric or rug with an upright vacuum cleaner or vacuum fitted with a powerhead or turbo head.
4. Pre-spray. Generously apply pre-spray. Do not allow to dry before extraction.
5. Agitate (Optional). If necessary, use a machine or manually agitate areas with a soft brush or scourer.
6. Extract and Clean. Using a portable carpet cleaning machine, clean/extract the fibre using slightly overlapping strokes. Use Plush rinse in the solution tank for the ultimate result.
7. Use an upholstery brush or carpet rake if necessary to re-align fibres and speed up drying. Using a carpet dryer, air mover or just turning on an air conditioner may also speed up the drying process.
8. Dry. Before the area is opened to traffic allow to dry. Air movers will speed up drying and impress your customers!
Upholstery and rug cleaning (Dry or encap method)
4a. Pre-spray. Generously apply pre-spray. Do not allow to dry before agitation.
4b. or Rich foam can be created by using a foaming trigger or shaking or whipping up solution. Apply foam to the fibre using a bonnet mitt, upholstery cleaning brush or sponge.
5. Agitate. Use a bonnet mitt or upholstery cleaning brush and agitate the area. Clean in both directions – north to south and east to west.
6. Remove excess moisture with a clean, dry, white towel.
Stain removal (bottle use)
Dilute at 4:1 (4 parts water and 1 part Fabulous). That's 80% water and 20% Fabulous (150ml of Fabulous in a 750ml bottle). Add the water first, then add Fabulous, to avoid foam and speed up the filling process.
Handy tips
• Always test first in an inconspicuous area before using any cleaning solution. Play it safe, especially when you use a product for the first time. Better to be safe than sorry. Some surfaces can be sensitive to moisture and particular chemical types.
• Use warm to hot water to boost your cleaning performance (especially on oil, fat and grease).
• When pre-spraying use Plush rinse in the clean water tank for increased fibre safety and faster drying.
• Use Bubble Buster defoamer in your dirty water tank if you experience foaming from existing chemical residues in the fibres.
• Move the upholstery tool/wand slower across heavily soiled upholstery areas.
• Go over the upholstery or rug a second time dry (without pulling your wand trigger), to extract additional water and achieve dryer fibres.
• When diluting chemicals add the water first and the chemical last to prevent foaming, splashes and spills.
• For best results use freshly diluted cleaning solutions.
• If you plan on using a fabric protector after cleaning you should use the extraction method with Plush rinse.
What coverage can I expect from Fabulous?
On average, one litre of ready-to-use (pre-mixed/diluted) Fabulous pre-spray solution will cover a 3-4 seater lounge or 4m². Coverage will depend on the condition of the fibres, staining and amount of soil.
I like to use Fabulous via the hot water extraction method. What can I do about foaming in the recovery tank?
Fabulous contains encapsulation technology in it which is designed to work in the top part of the fibres. It's safer for the fibre and allows for better and easier removal of the crystalised encap when dry. We make Fabulous more of a high-foaming formula to assist this. So when it is agitated, the encap stays on the top of the fibres for ease of removal and better performance where soils and dirt are.
There are two things to review when you use Fabulous via the pre-spray and hot water extraction method...
1. Add Bubble Buster to your recovery tank. Easy, cheap and great anyways as you probably extract a bunch of other foamy stuff left from previous treatments.
2. Review your dilution rate to make sure you aren't overusing it. No more than 16:1 should be used and to be honest, it would work well at 32:1. The stronger dilution you go, the more foam.
