Plush is most commonly used in the clean water rinse tank of carpet cleaning machines however it can also be used as a pre-spray.
Portable carpet machine use
1. Add Plush into your machine's clean water tank. Dilute at 100:1 (100 parts water and 1 part Plush). That's approximately 99% water and 1% Plush (40ml of Plush in ½ a bucket/4 litres of water or 10ml per litre). For heavy-duty applications, dilute at 50:1 (50 parts water and 1 part Plush). For light-duty applications, dilute at 300:1 (300 parts water and 1 part Plush).
2. Thoroughly vacuum the area to be cleaned and apply the relevant pre-spray treatment.
3. Rinse and extract the carpet or upholstery fabric using slightly overlapping strokes.
4. Realign the fabric fibres to help them dry more quickly.
Truckmount carpet cleaning machine
Mix 300ml per 10Lt of solution water to make the truck mount concentrate. Set the flow meter at 7 to 15 litres per hour.
Handy hints
• Use hot water to boost your cleaning performance (especially on oil, fat and grease).
• When pre-spraying use Plush rinse in the clean water tank for increased fibre safety and faster drying.
• For best results use freshly diluted cleaning solutions.
• Always use a Bubble Buster defoamer in your dirty water tank.
• Move the wand slower across heavily soiled carpet areas.
• Go over the carpet a second time dry to extract additional water and achieve dryer carpets.
• When diluting chemicals add the water first and the chemical last to prevent foaming, splashes and spills.
• Always extract rinse using Plush if you intend to apply a fabric protector to the cleaned carpet.
• Always test first in an inconspicuous area before using any cleaning solution. Play it safe, especially when you use a product for the first time. Better to be safe than sorry. Some surfaces can be sensitive to moisture and particular chemical types.
