Specifications for Power Boost - Heavy Duty Carpet Cleaning Powder Concentrate
I am a carpet cleaning ironman.
Power Boost is designed for professional carpet cleaners who want a premium, high-powered, heavy-duty, deep-cleaning, concentrated powder for their portable and truck-mount carpet and tile cleaning machines.
Power Boost works in cold up to extreme heat temperatures and leaves behind a fresh and nice-smelling fragrance. You can count on Power Boost to cut through the toughest soils and greases even in the heaviest of traffic lanes and on the most difficult-to-clean synthetic carpets.
Power Boost is a very special formulation containing a blend of premium ingredients including biodegradable nonionic surfactants blended with state-of-the-art low-foaming anionic surfactants which rapidly dissolve dirt and oils so they can be drawn away from the fibres for fast and thorough rinsing. Sequestering agents are added to bind with hard water ions and solid particulate soils, keeping these soils in suspension for easy and complete rinsing. The result is a cleaning solution that keeps a wide variety of soilage materials dissolved and suspended so they can be extracted from the carpet by the hot water extraction process.
If there is any residue of Power Boost left on the carpet fibres, it will dry to a friable, non-oily, crystalline solid that will be collected by the dry-vacuuming that is part of normal maintenance. This means that Power Boost will not contribute to re-soiling and the freshly cleaned carpet will stay cleaner for longer.
To top it off for those lovers of their equipment, Power Boost is safe on pumps, valves and heater elements because of its built-in corrosion inhibitors to protect metallic. It is also safe on your plastic or neoprene seals and hoses. Defoamers and low-foaming surfactants are also employed in the formula to ensure that foam will not accumulate in the recovery tank. This saves motors, blowers and time!
Power Boost can be used 6 ways
1. Pre-Spray. As a pre-spray treatment prior to water extraction.
2. Tank Detergent. For use in the portable carpet cleaning machine's solution tank (no pre-spraying.)
3. Truckmount Detergent. For detergent pick-up systems on truck mounts and some portable machines.
4. Booster. For pre-spray, solution tank, or detergent pickup systems.
5. Spotter. As a general-purpose spotter.
6. Tile Cleaning Detergent.
Where to use
Power Boost is a remarkable heavy-duty carpet detergent powder that is safe and economical to use on difficult-to-clean synthetic carpets and traffic lanes.
If you are wanting to use Power Boost on wool, we recommended you use Plush neutralising rinse in your solution tank or line. Pre-test the Power Boost solution on an inconspicuous area to ensure colour-fastness. This is essential before cleaning upholstery fabrics because alkaline products can cause some upholstery fabrics' dyes to run and some cotton to yellow.
Who loves Power Boost?
Power Boost is loved by professional carpet cleaners, flood restoration experts, restaurants, cafes, pubs, in-house cleaning departments, schools, child care centres, universities, hotels, apartment managers, aged care centres, medical centres, offices, shopping centres, function centres, gyms and homeowners.

Carpet cleaning (express 1-step method)
1. Test on a small inconspicuous area first to ensure the suitability of this product.
2. Vacuum. Thoroughly dry vacuum the carpet with an upright vacuum cleaner or a vacuum fitted with a powerhead or turbo head to remove loose soil.
3. For normal soils, dilute 40 grams (1 scoop or 1/4 cup) of Power Boost per 10 litres of water 250:1 (250 parts water and 1 part Power Boost).
For heavy-duty applications, dilute 80 grams (2 scoops or 1/2 cup) of Power Boost per 10 litres of water 150:1 (150 parts water and 1 part Power Boost).
Add the correct amount of water and Power Boost concentrate to the clean water solution tank of a portable carpet extraction machine.
4. Extract and Clean. Using a portable carpet cleaning machine, clean/extract the carpet using slightly overlapping strokes.
5. Use a carpet rake if necessary to re-align carpet fibres and speed up drying. Using a carpet dryer, air mover or just turning on an air conditioning system may also speed up the drying process.
6. Dry. Before the area is opened to traffic allow to dry. Air movers will speed up drying and impress your customers!

4. Pre-spray. Generously apply pre-spray. Do not allow to dry before extraction.
5. Agitate (Optional). If necessary, machine or manually agitate areas with a soft brush or scourer.
6. Extract and Clean. Using a portable carpet cleaning machine, clean/extract the fibres using slightly overlapping strokes. Use Plush rinse in the solution tank for the ultimate result.
7. Use a carpet rake or brush if necessary to re-align fibres and speed up drying.

Carpet pre-spray booster
Add 1⁄2 (20g) to 1 (40g) scoop to the pre-spray solution.
Truckmount carpet cleaning
• For cleaning wool and stain-resistant carpets or where the pre-spray method is used: Set the flow meter at 2 to 4 gallons per hour.
• For heavy soil conditions using the single-step process: Set the flow meter at 4 to 8 gallons per hour.
Carpet spotting and stain removal (bottle use)
Dilute at 4:1 (4 parts water and 1 part Power Boost). That's 80% water and 20% Power Boost (150g of Power Boost in a 750ml bottle). Add the water first, then add Power Boost, to avoid foam and speed up the filling process.
Handy tips
• Always test first in an inconspicuous area before using any cleaning solution. Play it safe, especially when you use a product for the first time. Better to be safe than sorry. Some surfaces can be sensitive to moisture and particular chemical types.
• Use warm to hot water to boost your cleaning performance (especially on oil, fat and grease).
• When pre-spraying use Plush rinse in the clean water tank for increased fibre safety and faster drying.
• Use Bubble Buster defoamer in your dirty water tank if you experience extreme foaming from existing chemical residues in the fibres.
• Move the wand slower across heavily soiled carpet areas.
• Go over the carpet a second time dry (without pulling your wand trigger), to extract additional water and achieve dryer carpets.
• When diluting chemicals add the water first and the chemical last to prevent foaming, splashes and spills.
• For best results use freshly diluted cleaning solutions.
• Always extract rinse using Plush if you intend to apply a fabric protector to the cleaned carpet.
• The 10kg pail of Power Boost contains a plastic scoop which holds 70ml. Note that 3.5 scoops = 1 cup.
• When diluting, stir well for 30 seconds. Leave it for 5 minutes, then stir well again. This method will ensure that the powder dissolves completely.
How do I dilute Power Boost if I'm using an inline sprayer?
For this example, we'll assume your inline sprayer has a 4.7L bottle fitted with an 8:1 dilution tip. For normal soiling, dilute at 9:1 by adding 4.2L of water (90%), then add 425g of Power Boost (10%). That's approximately 90g of Power Boost per litre. For heavy soiling, dilute at 4:1 by adding 3.75L of water (80%), then add 845g of Power Boost (20%). That's approximately 180g of Power Boost per litre. Keep in mind these diluted solutions are further diluted in this example by an inline sprayer with an 8:1 dilution tip.
Is Power Boost Septic Safe?
Yes.
Is Power Boost pet friendly?
Yes as long as you keep pets away from the area during cleaning.
