Specifications for ProGlo - Marble & Calcite Stone Polishing and Restoration Powder
I'll pop a 5-star shine.
ProGlo is designed for the crystallisation and polishing of floors made of marble and calcareous stones including travertine, terrazzo, and limestone.
The ProGlo polishing process happens through a relationship between special pads, floor patterns, a polishing machine with perfect weight distribution and speed, the chemical compound, correct application and the stone surface itself. This stone polishing system still allows the surface to breathe through microscopic channels in the stone and is non-yellowing. ProGlo delivers the ultimate shine, reflection, durability and economy. It’s also an excellent and cost-effective alternative to conventional methods like sacrificial coatings.
ProGlo is proven to eliminate the need for restoration of the surface down the track. The more you use ProGlo, the harder, more durable and shinier the surface gets!
Where to use
ProGlo can be used on indoor, polished natural stone surfaces including Marble, Limestone, Travertine and Terrazzo. It's suitable on floors, walls, tables, bench tops, bathrooms, showers and anywhere marble, limestone, travertine and terrazzo need polishing.

Marble polishing (professional)
1. Preparation - Remove all dry dust, grit, sand, dirt etc from the surface via a powerful dry vac. Remove any other foreign material that may cause scratching in the agitation process. If required, strip any existing surface coatings, and remove any bad scratches or surface damage. Protect the environment surrounding the area (eg. carpet, walls, furniture, metal surfaces etc).
2. Mix 2 parts ProGlo powder with 1 part water. Use two separate containers to measure, then mix the products together in the applicator bottle. Shake well before use as the product does separate.
3. Place a new wetted white polish pad on the floor and line the machine up on top of it making sure the pad is lined up evenly.
4. Apply approximately 200ml of the mixed ProGlo onto the top left side of a 3m²
surface area.
5. Scrub the product into the surface going over each part of the floor 6 times in slow small anti-clockwise circular patterns, moving the slurry around the entire 3m²
(machine speed <200rpm).
6. Add more water if the slurry is too thick or drying out too quickly, or more powder if the slurry is too thin, like water. You want the slurry to be wet/thin, the consistency of a milkshake.
7. Remove the slurry with a powerful wet vac.
8. Apply Bobby Dazzler diluted 80:1 with water to the surface and wet scrub with a new white super polish pad to remove any chemical residue left over from the process and to leave the surface neutral.
9. Remove the slurry from the surface with a powerful wet vac.
10. Dry buff the floor with a ‘Wooly’ pad and slow-speed scrubbing machine, passing over the surface in a side-to-side motion North-South and then East-West.
11. Optional: Seal the surface and/or grout lines with Pro Seal Ultra invisible penetrating sealer.
Handy hints
• Test first: Always test first in an inconspicuous area before use. Because all surfaces are different, we recommend that you always perform a small test patch in an inconspicuous area to ensure you will get the desired result. A test patch also doubles as a demonstration.
• Results may vary depending on the nature of the stone, the equipment in use and the methodology applied.
• This product is only effective on calcite stone surfaces and should not be used on any other surface.
• Do not let this product dry on the surface, keep it wet and thin and remove it straight after the area has been treated.
• Treat only small sections at a time. 2m²-3m²
is recommended in most applications.
• Always cover/protect skirting boards, walls, furniture feet, carpet etc and the environment around you before you start. It should not come into contact with metal surfaces, furniture, carpets, painted surfaces or anything other than the stone being polished.
• Do not step in the wet ProGlo slurry.
• Ensure the container is always sealed well and is not contaminated by moisture or other chemicals.
If my stone surface doesn’t shine like I want it to, have I used ProGlo in the wrong way?
Not always. The stone may be damaged to the point where it needs an initial diamond restoration. This is best done by an expert. Another reason might be that the stone has a very low calcite level or is naturally resistant to acids. We see this in some green, brown and black marbles.
How much ProGlo will I need for my area?
In normal use, 5kg of ProGlo will cover approximately 100m².
What surfaces does ProGlo not work on?
Ceramic, porcelain, terracotta, granite, quartz, concrete, sandstone, naturally acid-resistant types of natural stone or surfaces with topical coatings (sealers that sit on top of the surface).
How do you maintain a floor polished with ProGlo?
Daily
1. Vacuum or dust mop the surface to remove all dry debris and dust.
2. Mop the surface with Bobby Dazzler (80:1) with an XO2 microfibre mopping system.
or for larger areas...
Scrub the floor using an automatic scrubber dryer with Bobby Dazzler (80:1) and a white natural fibre floor pad.
When necessary...
Buff the surface using a polishing machine (to remove residues) with a white natural fibre pad or woolly polishing pad.
3 to 6 monthly...
Commercial super high-traffic areas may need to be ProGlo'd.
6 or 12 monthly (depending on traffic)...
ProGlo the dulled areas. Resurface prior to the ProGlo process where necessary (i.e to remove bad scratches and etching).
Get an even longer-lasting shine.
Ensure effective entrance matting is installed at all door entrances to catch the dirt and reduce maintenance. Make sure the mat is large enough for 4 steps. You want each foot to touch the mat twice for effective soil and grit removal.
