Specifications for TKO - Alkaline Heavy Duty Hard Floor Shock Cleaner Concentrate
I'm the knockout punch.
TKO is a hi-tech, super heavy-duty alkaline cleaner and degreaser for restoration and shock treatment cleaning of tiles, grout, stone, concrete and hard surfaces. Its aggressive cleaning and wetting action lifts out build-ups of fat, grease, dirt, grime, oils, mould, algae, soap scum and most industrial soils including the toughest of hard surface grime in industrial deep cleans and restoration work. TKO’s non-flammable formula gives an alternative to flammable solvent-based cleaners and smelly degreasers.
Most hard floor surfaces build up grime and soil in the micro pores of the surface, the uneven hills and valleys of the floor and grout. Often normal cleaning procedures can’t remove this build-up or dark soiled appearance. This type of soil buildup can cause hygiene issues, slip problems and dirty looking appearance. That’s when a TKO shock treatment is required and why hard surface cleaning professionals love it.
Where to use
TKO can be used indoors and outdoors. It is an excellent deep restoration cleaner for high traffic walkways, industrial kitchens, refuse compactor areas, workshop floors, food processing facilities, bakeries, and public eating areas. TKO is effective on floor surfaces including ceramic tiles, grout, porcelain (glazed and vitrified), sandstone, granite (unpolished), slate, terracotta, pebblecrete and concrete.

Deep cleaning (bottle and bucket use)
1. Dilute at 4:1 (4 parts water and 1 part TKO). That's approximately 80% water and 20% TKO (800ml of TKO in ½ a bucket/4 litres of water or 200ml per litre). Add water to your bucket, then add TKO. For general to heavy-duty applications, TKO can be diluted further with water at 20:1 up to 120:1 depending on the surface and soil.
2. Apply the product to the surface. Allow for 5-10 minutes of dwell time.
3. Agitate with a suitable scourer, brush or high-pressure water.
4. Rinse with water.
5. Pick up excess moisture and allow to dry.
Deep cleaning (professionals)

2. Test a complete tile in a small inconspicuous area using the following technique to ensure you and your client’s expectations are achieved. Once complete, inspect the tile closely for any imperfections from the manufacturer, transport or the tiling process before quoting or starting the job.
3. Remove all dust, grit, sand etc from the surface via a powerful dry vac. Remove any other foreign material that may cause scratching in the agitation process like blobs of grout, grout haze, paint, plaster etc.
4. Apply diluted product liberally to the surface via a mop, brush, doodlebug, bucket or watering can.
5. Agitate immediately into the surface. Choose the method of agitation that is suitable for the surface to be cleaned and the soil type. ie. floor scrubbers, doodlebugs, deck scrub brushes, high-pressure water blasters etc.
6. Let the solution dwell on the surface for 5-10 minutes then agitate again applying more diluted product or water if required.
7. Remove the slurry with a powerful wet vac.
8. Rinse the surface thoroughly and remove the liquid with a powerful wet vac. Repeat steps 1-8 if required.
Handy hints
• When manually filling bottles, buckets or tanks, add the water first and TKO last. This prevents foaming, chemical splashes and spills.
• Always test first in an inconspicuous area before using any cleaning solution. Play it safe, especially when you use a product for the first time. Better to be safe than sorry. Some surfaces can be sensitive to moisture and particular chemical types.
• Do not use on or allow to contact painted surfaces, non-ferrous metal surfaces (especially aluminium or brass) and polymer-coated flooring.
• Safe on unsealed man-made tiles, unpolished natural stone surfaces (eg. sandstone), grout and concrete at recommended dilutions subject to pre-testing.
• Do not use through detergent pickups on high-pressure water blasters or through the solution system of automatic floor scrubbers.
• Always keep the surface wet whilst using TKO. Do not let TKO dry on the surface. If the surface appears to be drying, apply more diluted TKO or water liberally.
