Floor mopping (mop and bucket)
- Erect safety signs and prepare your gear.
- Dilute at 80:1 (80 parts water to 1 part Bobby Dazzler). That's approximately 99% water and 1% Bobby Dazzler (50ml of Bobby Dazzler in ½ a bucket/4 litres of water or 13ml per litre). Add water to your bucket, then add Bobby Dazzler.
- Fill up your bucket to the fill line through the dilution control system (or manually).
- Immerse the mop into the bucket. Soak. Then wring the mop out in a twisting motion.
- Replace your mop water regularly or as soon as it starts getting dirty.
Automatic floor scrubbers (tank use)
Bobby Dazzler is solenoid, solution line and pump safe.
- Dilute at 99:1 (99 parts water to 1 part Bobby Dazzler). That's 99% water and 1% Bobby Dazzler (or 10ml of Bobby Dazzler per litre of water). Add the water first, then add Bobby Dazzler to avoid foam and speed up the filling process.
- See your scrubber manufacturer’s operating instructions.
Robotic floor cleaners (tank use)
- Erect safety signs and prepare your gear. Ensure the robot floor cleaner's clean water tank, dirty water tank, and mop pads or brushes are clean and properly installed.
- Dilute at 99:1 (99 parts water and 1 part Bobby Dazzler). That's approximately 99% water and 1% Bobby Dazzler (10ml per litre of water). Add water to the clean water tank first, then add Bobby Dazzler to prevent excessive foaming.
- Fill up the clean water tank to the fill line through a dilution control system or manually. Securely seal the tank and reinsert it into the robot or docking station.
- Attach clean mop pads and launch the cleaning run. Ensure mop pads or rollers are fitted correctly (pre-dampen if recommended by the robot manufacturer). Set your desired cleaning mode/water dosage on the machine or app, then start the program.
- Empty dirty water and maintain the machine regularly. Empty and rinse the dirty water tank after every cleaning cycle or as soon as the robot signals it is full. Wash mop pads and rinse the clean water tank routinely to prevent chemical or dirt build-up.
How to stop streaking floors
- Pre-Clean: Vacuum first before mopping. This removes the loose dirt, dust and soil from the surface making mopping a whole lot more effective. If you can't vacuum, then dry dust mop or sweep the surface.
- Correct Dilution: Use the right amount of Bobby Dazzler concentrate at the right dilution. Bobby Dazzler is designed to give you the best results when you dilute it at 80:1 (80 parts water to 1 part Bobby Dazzler). That's 13ml per litre or 8ml into your Squirt Mops 600ml tank handle.
- Go Damp, Not Wet: Cleaning with more water does not give you a better clean. Use as little water as possible. This will reduce streaking and watermarking issues. Cleaning damp also means floors will dry faster after cleaning. And that’s great for safety.
- Change Mops Often: Stock up on replacement mop fringes and keep swapping the dirty ones out. Don't spread the dirt, remove it! Most floors where there are streaking problems are only using one or two mops. When the mop gets dirty or an area is completed, the mop should be placed in a laundry bag and a new one gets used. XO2 also supplies disposable microfibre floor pads suitable for the Squirt Mop that can be thrown out after each use so laundering is not required. These are great for critical area cleaning and infection control. This stops residues from getting spread over large areas, it’s more hygienic and means you actually remove far more soil.
- Change Bucket Water Often: When your mop bucket water looks dirty change it. Spreading dirt rather than cleaning over time only leads to dirt and residue build-ups. And that equals streaks.
- Deep Clean Existing Residues: If you have continual streaking and dirty floor problems a deep clean may be required where machine scrubbing and vacuum extraction is needed. Some floors have a build-up of existing chemical residues and soils that need to be removed via a corrective deep clean. Once rectified, floor mopping is a breeze!
Handy tips
- Use hot water. This will boost your cleaning performance (especially on oil, fat and grease) and speed up drying times. Do not use hot water in the XO2 Squirt Mop.
- When manually filling bottles, buckets or tanks, add the water first and Bobby Dazzler last. This prevents foaming, chemical splashes and spills, which will save you time!

How much Bobby Dazzler do I use?
Dilute it at 80:1 (80 parts water to 1 part Bobby Dazzler). That's 13ml per litre, or 8ml into the Squirt Mop's 600ml tank handle.
Can I put hot water into the handle tank?
No. We recommend water with a maximum temperature of 45°C. Anything hotter can reduce the life of the squirt valve, because it's made from rubber.
How do I avoid streaks?
Vacuum first, then mop damp, not wet. Using more water doesn't give a better clean. Using as little water as possible reduces streaking and watermarking, and floors dry faster. Use Bobby Dazzler at the right dilution. Change your mop heads and bucket water often.
I still have streaks. What now?
The floor may have a build-up of chemical residues and soils that needs a corrective deep clean, using machine scrubbing and vacuum extraction. Once that's fixed, mopping gets easier.
How often should I change the mop?
When the mop is soiled or an area is completed, put it in a laundry bag and use a new one. Swapping mops stops residues spreading over large areas.
Can I use disposable microfibre floor mopping pads?
Yes. XO2 supplies disposable microfibre floor pads suitable for the Squirt Mop. They suit critical area cleaning and infection control.
Is Bobby Dazzler pet-friendly?
Yes. When used as directed, it is safe for pets and humans.
Is Bobby Dazzler septic-safe?
Yes. It is widely and commonly used in commercial and domestic facilities with septic systems without any problems at all. Bobby Dazzler has been tested in septic system applications with independent septic systems technicians and no issues were found.
Is Bobby Dazzler a disinfectant?
Bobby Dazzler was independently tested at 17:1 (17 parts water to 1 part Bobby Dazzler) with passes on bacteria testing. That allows Commercial Grade Disinfectant claims, and specific claims to kill bacteria including E. coli and Staph.
